We are thrilled to announce God’s major blessing to us! Our 3rd baby is due in January 2017. We will be able to find out the gender in about 10 weeks, yay!
Micah actually helped me read the pregnancy test, and earlier that day he was asking me why he doesn’t have a sister yet (obviously his preference, since he’s been begging me for a sister for over half a year). He wanted to come to hear the baby’s heart beat today. He said “this is so cool” when he watched the screen. At this point, 7 weeks and 3 days, the baby is still attached to a yolk sac, and is just over 1cm from head to rump, about the size of a sweet pea. He or she won’t have mobility until about 9 weeks.
After the ultrasound Micah and I went on a lunch date to celebrate. Micah got to hold a lobster. We had fun!
Kade, who will be 2 years old in August, really doesn’t know what’s going on… and he doesn’t love when I hold other babies, so he has some sharing to learn!
We are grateful to have been able to get into an ultrasound here so quickly before the move, for accurate dating and to confirm a heartbeat. The start of another life is just so wonderful! We feel blessed, to say the least!
Depending on when MiniCooper #3 arrives, Kade will be 2 years 5 months old when this baby is born, and Micah will be 5 years 2 months old.
“Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates.” Psalm 127:3-5
